Hi Resident
Officers are appealing to the public and local businesses for information following a business burglary and three attempted business burglaries in Bishop’s Stortford.
It is reported that shortly before 1am Tuesday 4 August, a man smashed the windows of Savers on South Street and entered the store. It is not clear if anything was taken, but several perfume bottles were dropped outside the shop before the man made off towards Apton Road.
While officers were making enquiries with local businesses, three other attempted business burglaries on South Street where doors and locks were reportedly tampered with were reported to police, which occurred at Belmonts Barbers, Time2Vape and Hair by Elements.
Detective Sergeant Dean Aldous, from Hertford CID, said: “I am appealing to residents in the area, and local business owners who have not yet spoken to police, to check their CCTV cameras to see if it picked up any suspicious activity in the areas mentioned above between 12.45am and 1.45am.
“Initial enquiries have taken place, and we are looking for CCTV showing a white man who is of slim build, and wearing a dark jumper with a distinctive white logo, and a green combat coloured baseball cap.
“Any information that can be passed to police could support ongoing enquiries.”
